Diego Maradona wants to manage the Argentina national team led by Lionel Messi for the second time.
Maradona who last coached the team in 2010 when they lost to Germany in the quarter-finals 4-0, wants to take over from Jorge Sampaoli after a disappointing performance in Russia, and he’s willing to do the job for free. “Yes, and I would do it for free, I wouldn’t ask for anything in return,” Maradona said on a said on a television show.
Diego Maradona who scored 34 goals in 91 appearances for Argentina may have to wait another four years to get the Argentina coaching job, as Sampaoli still has a contract with the federation until the 2022 World Cup billed to hold in Qatar. “People think I am happy but my heart is heavy, I feel really bad that everything we built with so much effort we destroyed so easily,” he adds.
