The Man Utd transfer policy of making signings for their academy and youth team continues on deadline day.
Manchester United have confirmed the signing of French defender Willy Kambwala from Sochaux.
The 16-year-old centre-back has captained France’s Under-17s and will initially join up with United’s Under-18s. Kambwala is highly rated in France and his arrival continues United’s policy of acquiring the best talent from around Europe for their academy sides this summer.

They are currently pursuing deals for 18-year-old wingers Amad Traore and Facundo Pellistri from Atalanta and Uruguayan side Penarol respectively on deadline day, though the pair could quickly become first team options for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
United head of first team development Nicky Butt has overseen a number of other academy transfers this season. They have included Marc Jurado (from Barcelona), Joe Hugill and Logan Pye (both Sunderland), Isak Hansen-Aaroen (Tromso), Charlie McNeill (Man City), Alvaro Fernandez (Real Madrid), Radek Vitek (Olomouc) and Alejandro Garnacho (Atletico Madrid).
The fee for Kambwala is understood to be in the region of £3 .5million and hopes are high that the teenager can graduate up the United teams in the near future.
The deal was announced shortly after Brazilian left-back Alex Telles was unveiled as a first team deadline day arrival from Porto.
