Manchester City yesterday night Tuesday, August 4th announced the signing of Valencia’s winger Ferran Torres on a 5-year deal.
Ferran was reportedly signed for a fee in the region of £20.9 million ($27million).
The 20-year-old said after joining the club, “I am so happy to be joining City,” Ferran Torres further said in his statement, “Every player wants to be involved in attacking teams and Manchester City are one of the most attacking in world football.”
Manchester City Manager Pep Guardiola is quite keen on strengthening his squad as he beef-up his team in his bid to wrestle back the EPL title from Liverpool next season. It is believed that a deal worth £41 million has been agreed between City and Bournemouth for its defender Nathan Ake.
“We have followed Ferran’s progress closely and have been very impressed,” said director of football Txiki Begiristain.
