The Polytechnic Ibadan Burns Students' Phone Over Examination Malpractice

The management of The Polytechnic Ibadan has reportedly set ablaze mobile phones seized from students in order to curb examination malpractice.

The said phones which, according to reports worth millions of naira, were seized from the students during examination in the school, and in a bid to restate its commitment to fight examination malpractices to the barest level, the management decided to burn the phones.

The Deputy Rector of the institution, Bayo Oyeleke, who monitored the exercise said this is a means of ensuring that the products of the school are hardworking and with exemplary character. “We are here to take further action on our resolve to ensure that the crop of students and product being produced by the school are students with exemplary character and are those who really work and worth the certificate of the institution,” he said.

He added that the exercise will serve as deterrent to students of the institution who wish to further indulge in the illegal and inappropriate act.The Polytechnic Ibadan Burns Students' Phone Over Examination Malpractice
