Man who stabbed the step-granddaughter of Morgan Freeman and murdered her has been sentenced to 20-years imprisonment. The man reportedly stabbed her 25 times in front of eyewitnesses. He was given an additional five years of post-release supervision. The accused Lamar Davenport, 33, was convicted of manslaughter in the first degree for the fatal attack on 33-year-old E’Dena Hines, who was his girlfriend at the time. The man was first charged with murder in the second degree, but his lawyer argued that he had been in a drug-induced psychosis during the brutal slaying, brought on by his use of PCP. Mailonline reports that a man who witnessed the during trial said Davenport screamed: ‘I love you. I always loved you. God would have wanted this.’ Davenport was taken to a hospital after his arrest and was given sedatives.
