Man Utd’s Defensive Deepens As Eric Bailly Suffers Injury On International Duty

Manchester United are facing the prospect of losing Eric Bailly for several weeks after he suffered, what is believed to be a, hamstring injury on international duty.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer brought Bailly back into the line-up for the game with Tottenham , with Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof coming under increasing scrutiny.

Bailly’s introduction failed to address the alarming defensive issues at Old Trafford, as the Red Devils capitulated to an embarrassing 6-1 defeat.

Despite that, Solskjaer will have been hoping that he and Maguire could begin to build a partnership as Solskjaer scrambles to address a defence that has already conceded 11 times.

But Bailly could now face a spell on the sidelines after he hobbled off during Ivory Coast’s friendly with Belgium.

The United defender started the game in Brussels only to leave the field holding his hamstring shortly before the 70th minute.

Following the international break, Solskjaer’s side face Newcastle United and his old teammate Roy Keane has warned him that some of the players currently within his squad, will end up causing him to lose his job.

United have lost two of their three Premier League games this season and Keane is growing increasingly concerned that Solskjaer will follow his predecessor Jose Mourinho and be sacked.

“You all have bad days in football. Some of the players were a disgrace to the Man United badge,” Keane said.
