A story has been trending on the Nigerian Twitter space of a man who allegedly was made to pay 580k as bride price before he could marry his wife, this excluding all of the other traditional and white wedding expenses.
His wife who took to Twitter to narrate the story asking for advice and guide, said ever since he did this he has refused to give her family money, both allowances, nor give any financial support of any kind saying he owes the girl’s family nothing again financially in his life.
She further narrated that her own younger brother who also now want to get married was billed 400k to pay as bride price, her father has now apportioned 400k to the man to pay and he has refuted bitter and the jobless lady caught in-between the whole dilemma has taken to twitter to seek for advice.
