Following huge interests from many clubs to sign him, including Everton of England, the 21-year-old had agreed to move to Rome, but declined to take his flight after Barcelona’s interest in his services became known to him. The player’s manager, Fernando Garcia refused to comment on the flight cancellation, saying, “no comment” to media questions. Malcom had joined the Ligue 1 side, Bordeaux in 2016, scoring 23 goals in 96 appearances for the club. His refusal to show up in Rome yesterday created a sense of displeasure among the Roma fans and management who had been expecting his arrival. much of their anger is directed at FC Barcelona who is seen as trying to stall the impending signing. It is hoped that in the next few days ahead, the Brazilian would finally complete his move to Rome, or be heading to Spain. Photo Credit: Getty Images.
