Former Kaduna State governor, Senator Ahmed Makarfi, has declared his intention of joining the presidential race in the forth coming 2019 general elections.
Speaking in a press conference on Sunday, the former Caretaker Committee Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party said “after wide consultations with party men and women as well as other major stakeholders,” he had decided to seek the party’s nomination to contest the poll.
Senator Makarfi is set to join the likes of Atiku Abubakar, Donald Duke and many others to contest for the party’s presidential ticket in the forth coming February general elections.
