Luca Modric Crowned World Best Player At 2018 Ballon d’Or Award

Luca Modric, Real Madrid and Croatia midfielder, has been crowned world’s best player at 2018 Ballon d’Or awards. Modric snagged the award ahead of  Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Modric won the award this year, putting an end to the 10-years of Ballon d’Or dominance between Messi and Ronaldo. Modric, 33, won the prize at the Grand Palais in Paris. Ronaldo came second with Antoine Griezmann, coming third. Kylian Mbappe who won the Kopa Trophy came fourth ahead of Lionel Messi who finished in fifth.
