Agents of the Labour Party (LP) at Ikenegbu area of Owerri Municipal Council in Imo State have protested the alleged swapping of Polling Unit officers.
A man who described himself as Madu, one of the potential voters who said he is a party member, said it was surprising that the PU personnel already deployed to the voting centre were changed this morning.
Speaking with reporters, the spokesperson for the Labour Party’s governorship candidate, Chibuikem Diala, said that INEC was doing the same thing in all parts of the state.
He said that the campaign organization had discovered that the actual PU officers already trained by INEC were dropped at the last minute, and people who did not take part in the INEC’s training were deployed to conduct the election.

In other news, The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has reacted to viral forged results from Kogi State.
The results were said to have emanated from Polling Unit 004, Eni Ward of Ogori/Mangogo in Kogi State.
Yiaga Africa made this claim in a post on its handle, @YIAGA, on X.
It called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to investigate the results.
In a statement via X, the electoral umpires said the situation was severe and senior officials deployed to Kogi State are investigating the incident.
