STVN WAYNE, an emerging ready-to-wear & bespoke brand, who is known for their traditionally inspired pieces has released its resort collection tagged “Isi Agu.”
According the brand, the collection is inspired by Chinua Achebe’s book “THINGS FALL APART”. It pays homage to the igbo tribe and shows how tradition and pop-culture influences can coexist harmoniously especially in our society today where in the wake of Cultural Globalization our own traditions are being overshadowed.
The pieces are refreshingly interesting featuring a blend of the vibrant yellow which the Igbos are known for against an inky hue. From off shoulder bomber jacket, to dresses, lapel corset and playsuit, the bold lookbook aims to celebrate fashion culturally.
