Liya Sharibu Will Be Released Soon – Pastor Adeboye

Pastor Adeboye

Pastor Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (Worldwide), has reacted to the news of Liya Sharibu, the Daphi schoolgirl who is yet to be released by Boko Haram due to her refusal to renounce her faith.  Taking to his Facebook and Twitter pages on Friday, Adeboye prayed for the young girl saying she will be released soon. “Lord, we ask that you visit the camp of the (Boko Haram) captors and, in a way that You alone can, see to the safe release and return of the missing girl, Leah Sharibu, in Jesus’ name.”

This is coming after President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday assured the country he will do everything within his power to see that Liya is released. “It is disheartening that one of the girls, Leah Sharibu, remains in captivity. Let me assure that I am as committed to her freedom as I was to the girls’ freedom when all 110 of them were in captivity. We will do everything in our power to bring Leah back safely,” he said. Founder of Complete Care and Aid Foundation, Mrs. Aisha Wakil, aka Mama Boko Haram, also spoke on the issue assuring everyone that Liya will be released soon. She made this known in an interview with Channels Television, where she said with commitment and sincerity on the part of the government, Sharibu, and the rest of the abducted girls will gain their freedom soon.  Photo Credit: Getty
