Liverpool Set To Make Dramatic Move To Re-sign Philippe Coutinho From Barcelona

Liverpool are considering launching a move to re-sign Philippe Coutinho, according to media reports.

Coutinho, 27, who joined Barcelona in January 2018 for a fee of £142million, has failed to light up the Nou Camp. Manchester United have been monitoring the situation while Chelsea also harbour an interest.

The Brazilian attacker would not join United out of respect to Liverpool due to the rivalry that exists between the two clubs. Jurgen Klopp is only set to make minor tweaks to his squad to help his side push for the title next term after narrowly missing out to Manchester City.

And according to French news outlet Le10 Sport, the Reds are open to paving a deal to bring Coutinho back to Anfield. The report suggests Barcelona would not be opposed to such a transfer.

Coutinho recently admitted he wasn’t sure if he will stay at Barca next season. He said: “I don’t know if I will continue at Barcelona. Nobody knows about the future, and right now I am focused on playing with my [national] team [at the Copa America].”
