Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has told ESPN the Premier League club are “on the right track” under new coach Arne Slot.

“I think for many people it’s different, and very strange, even for the fans, because [Klopp] was there for nine years,” Mac Allister told ESPN Argentina.

“I’ve been there for only a year, I’m used to changing coach. We have a new coach with a lot of ambition, and a desire to win. The club is on the right track.”

Playing in a deep-lying midfield role, Mac Allister has started both of Liverpool’s Premier League games thus far.
