Listeria Death Toll Rises To 200 In South Africa

While global health giants are still trying to tackle the widespread of the deadly Ebola virus in DR Congo, official statistics have confirmed that the number of victims who have died in South Africa’s listeria outbreak has suddenly risen to more than 200.
The deadly Listeria outbreak is by far the worst-ever in global health history, as it has claimed at least 204 lives since January 2017.

Two months ago, health officials revealed that they had traced the outbreak to an Enterprise Food plant, north-east of Pretoria, and immediately ordered a nationwide recall of the affected products.
Though the government claimed that listeria cases had fallen since the plants were shutdown, medical records seem to be saying the opposite as the death toll keep rising daily.
