Dear Aunty Aurora, For the past year, I have been having a long-distance relationship with my girlfriend – but now she says she will end it if I don’t agree to move in with her and get married. I live in Lagos and she’s based in Port Harcourt but we manage to spend every fortnight’s weekends together.
She’s 30 and has a very good job in a PH-based international oil company, whilst I’m 33 and working in media in Lagos. I love my job and the Lagos social life plus more importantly, my family is based here. She’s asked me to give up everything and to move in with her. She wants us to get married next year. Dear Segun, If you don’t know by now that you want to be with her full time then, I suspect, that she’s not who you want to be with. Long-distance love seems to suit you but not her. But whatever you decide, just don’t waste any more of her time.
