According to the former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, the Nigerian army lied about its role on October 20, 2020, Lekki Toll Gate shooting of #EndSARS protesters.
This remark followed the admission by the Nigerian army that it took live and blank bullets to the Lekki Toll Gate in Lagos on Saturday at the Lagos State Judicial Panel of Inquiry, weeks after initially denying that its men took live bullets.

Reacting to the confession on Saturday, Omokri expressed that he is finding it difficult to determine who is a worse liar between the army and Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed. He wrote on his Twitter Page:
