Sowore Embarks On Hunger Strike In Detention, Gains Freedom
Nigerian activist Omoyele Sowore has promised that the proposed #OccupyLekkiTollGate will go on as planned at the Lekki Toll Gate on Saturday 13th February, whether the Presidency gives it a nod or not.
This is coming after the Commissioner of Police frowned at the planned protest and warned the conveners against proceeding with it.Sowore
Recall that KOKO TV also reported that the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed also said that no protest will be allowed again as it will be infiltrated and hijacked. Reacting to the statement, Sowore took to Twitter to say that the President and his cabinet are afraid of the people’s power.
