Leaked Photo Reveals England’s Sterling Won’t Start Against Panama

A leaked photo showing England’s projected line-up for Sunday’s game has made its way to the internet.

Raheem Sterling won’t be happy about this, as the photograph taken at Thursday’s training in Repino, reveals he won’t be starting when they face Panama in their second Group G match. The line-up can visibly be seen on a card in the hand of assistant coach Steve Holland during the session.

Sterling who was substituted off in the second half of Monday’s opening 2-1 win over Tunisia, is replaced by Manchester United star, Marcus Rashford paired up front with Harry Kane. “We haven’t been directly told who’s starting and who’s not starting,” defender Trent Alexander-Arnold told reporters. “All the positions are up for grabs.

“Until the manager names the team it doesn’t matter what came out or what’s leaked.” Ruben Loftus-Cheek will also be in midfield for Dele Alli, should the England decide not to change the ‘line-up’.
