Although there hasn’t been any information about the killing from the police yet, some sources close to the student’s family said the two of them were shot dead after the kidnappers had collected a N5m ransom.

The okada rider, who took the ransom to the kidnapper’s den, was also shot but the sources said he was still alive. The Student Union President of LAUTECH, Anuoluwa Adeboye, said he had not confirmed the news from the police.

Multiple sources said the Ogbomoso Ilorin road had been taken over by the angry protesters who are protesting the alleged killing of the victims.
