The Lagos State Government has of today 7th of April 2020 released a circular, where has from next academic session, the entry age for all prospective students into any secondary school, private or public, would be at 12 years old. Lagos State Set Entry Age For Secondary School At 12 Years Old

The circular released since March and signed by Mrs A.A Adeboawale of the Ministry of Education, the state government said a fine of 50,000 has been proposed for first offenders and N100,000 fine for second offenders as well as warning letters to close an erring school in case of any violation.
