The Lagos State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) refuted claims that party candidate for the Lagos State gubernatorial polls, Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran also known as Jandor, will step down for Labour Party candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour.

Hakeem Amode, Lagos PDP Publicity Secretary, made this known on Monday stating the party wasn’t officially in any discussion with Labour Party about a possible alliance ahead of Saturday, March 11 gubernatorial and House of Assembly elections.

Amode said in a statement, “PDP is a proper democratic party and it is only the State Executive of the party as recognized by the National body that can be described as the custodian of the PDP under the leadership of the party’s Governorship Candidate Dr Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran.

He stated that reports claiming Jandor will withdraw his ambition to form an alliance with LP was false.

“Jandor is not planning to step down for any candidate.”
