Lagos Poll: Bucknor-Akerele Urges Obidients To Vote Rhodes-Vivour

Former Lagos State Deputy Governor, Kofo Bucknor-Akerele, has appealed to the Labour Party supporters to come out en masse and free the state from ‘tyranny’ of over 20 years with their votes.

The gubernatorial election in Lagos State is scheduled to hold on Saturday, March 11th with three major political parties vying for the seat. The All Progressives Congress candidate, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who is also the governor of Lagos State, Peoples Democratic Party candidate, AbdulAzeez Olajide Adediran and Labour Party candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour.

The former Lagos State Deputy Governor made the appeal on Wednesday at a press conference where she endorsed the Labour Party governorship candidate.

Recall that Bucknor-Akerele was a Deputy to Bola Tinubu, former Lagos Governor from 1999 to 2003.

She said, “Please come out in your millions. We registered over seven million votes in Lagos State. What happened? We know the figure that they wrote for us is not the correct figure but I beg you all, all of you who have voter cards, come out and free us from the tyranny that we have been undergoing for the last 20 years and more.”
