Lady Gaga Breaks Down In Tears Of Joy As Joe Biden Defeats Donald Trump In US Election

Lady Gaga has shared her joy at Joe Biden winning the US election over Donald Trump, charing teary videos with her fans.


The singer took to Instagram to celebrate the news, telling her followers through tears: ‘Hey everybody, I hope you’re all celebrating.

‘I hope all the women know in this country that there is a real reckoning and a real change. I hope people whose voices who have been oppressed by power, I hope you know your voices were heard.’

Struggling to regain herself, she continued: ‘I’m just…. I’m honestly kind of speechless. This is a very, very special day.

‘It’s a day where a lot of people who felt like we were living in a state of terror and aggression all the time, that it’s over. You can feel warm now.’

Gaga then shared a photo of her hugging Biden, adding: ‘@JoeBiden@KamalaHarris and the American people, you just gave the world one of the greatest acts of kindness and bravery humanity has ever seen.

‘Nothing but love for our new Commander in Chief and the 1ST female VP elected to the White House. Also, way to go PA.’

The star was among many celebs who were overjoyed at the news, including Ariana Grande and Khloe Kardashian who were also moved by the news.

Donald Trump and Joe BidenAri wrote: ‘CRYING @JoeBiden@KamalaHarris. THANK GOD,’ while Khloe added: ‘OMG I want to cry tears of joy!!!! Bravo!!!’

It was announced on Saturday that Biden has been elected the 46th president of the United States after beating Donald Trump to the required 270 electoral college votes.

He will be inaugurated in January, after Pennsylvania gave Biden 20 votes, which finally pushed him over the line.

Biden’s win also means Kamala Harris made history as she was named the Vice President – the highest ranking female politician in the history of the United States, as well as the highest ranking African American and Indian American ever to hold political office in America.Photo Credit: Getty
