Kuje Prison Escapee Re-Arrested In Kano

Police operatives in Kano State have re-arrested a suspected Kuje prison escapee, Abubakar Mohammed Sadiq, at Rangaza community in Ungogo LGA of the state.

The 25-year-old suspect, who hails from Kaduna State, was arrested on September 9 following credible information and sustained intelligence gathering.
The command’s spokesperson, SP Haruna Kiyawa, in a statement on Friday, October 7, said the escapee has been handed over to Nigeria Correctional Service, Kano State.
In other news, the detained suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari refused to escape from custody when he had the chance, it has been revealed. The suspended policeman was one of the prime targets  in the Tuesday night attack at the Kuje Correctional Center and does not deserve further delay in regaining his freedom, a constitutional lawyer and human rights activist, Barr.
