Kubrat Pulev Apologises Over Racist Comment Made Towards Anthony Joshua

Bulgarian boxer, Kubrat Pulev has apologized to Nigerian boxer, Anthony Joshua over a racist Comment he made ahead of their world heavyweight title fight.

Anthony Joshua and Kubrat PulevThe 39-year-old during an interview last week had made a controversial comment about Joshua’s skin color.

Speaking during the press conference, he said, “His strengths? I’d say he has a very powerful punch undeniably.

“What are his other strengths? His tan is better than mine.”

The Bulgarian has now released a statement, apologizing for his comment which drew a lot of controversy.

“I would never, under any circumstances, allow myself to show disrespect to another human being on racial, ethnic or religious grounds.

“If somebody has been offended by my words, I hope they would try to understand exactly what I meant by them and if they cannot understand me, then accept my sincere apology.”
