lately there as been a raft of Instagram and Youtube comedians, dropping comical skits almost everyday on Instagram and youtube from MarkAngel and Emmanuella, to Frank Donga, CrazeClown And Ade, to LasisiElenu, to Mc Lively, Ogbeni Adan all doing their own thing almost making us forget our the good old stand-up comedians who actually started skit comedy and did it in style. This week we have decided to celebrate those old comedians though not too old that have got the swagger with serious fashion Statement, not forgetting they brought us tonne of joy and laugh to our faces with shows like “Night Of A Thousand Laughs”, “Nigerian Kings Of Comedy”, “AY Live”, “Lord Of The Ribs”…. Here are our list of top five most Stylish Comedians

  1. Ay Makun: AY Born on August 19, he hails from Ifon, Ose local government in Ondo State. He is the host of the A.Y live shows and A.Y comedy skits. His first movie, 30 Days in Atlanta was a urge success the movie was produced by him and directed by Robert O. Peters. Since then he has featured in numerous movies both foreign and local, last December he made his Hollywood debut where he made voice appearance on the Hollywood 3D Animation movie “Elliot The Littlest Reindeer”, the movie also featured movie producer and actress Omoni Oboli. He was made a U.N Peace Ambassador in 2009 after winning six awards in 2008. He is the CEO of Corporate World Entertainment Nigeria.
  2. Teju Babyface: Olateju Oyelakin (born January 20, 1979), known professionally as Teju Babyface Oyelakin, is a Nigerian Comedian and Talk Show Host. He is the creator of Minding Your Talent, an initiative to help young Africans achieve career success. He is the founder and lead mentor at the Mentorship Foundation Africa (formerly known as the Teju Babyface Mentorship Academy). He is a United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Ambassador for Nigeria with a focus on Decent Work & Economic Growth. He runs a company called Visus Projects. In 2016 Oyelakin published the book, Secrets of the Streets: 23 Secrets for Achieving Success with Talent. In 2018 with Forget Principles, Find a Mentor: How to Connect with the People Who Will Help You Get From Where You Are to Where You Need to Be in Life. He started his career as both an actor and a comedian, and now produces and runs a talk show, The Teju Babyface Show.
  3. Bright Okpocha {Basketmouth}: Born 14 September 1978 in Lagos State, better known by his stage name Basketmouth is a Nigerian comedian and actor. He has organized popular stand-up comedy concerts like Basketmouth Uncensored across the globe. Basketmouth hosted a comedy challenge on Instagram, called the #TwoThingsChallenge which sparked an uproar from fans, after a young fan posted a video of him saying obscene things relating to sex, with a child in close view in the video. Bright completed his primary and secondary school education in Apapa (Lagos, Nigeria) and then moved on to pursue a degree at the University of Benin where he studied sociology and anthropology with his brother Godwin. In 2005 and 2006 Basketmouth won the National Comedy Award and the awards for Best Stand-up Comedian of the Year. On February 14, 2017 to mark valentine’s day, Bright had a sold out concert in the famous Wembley arena which made people consider him to be one of the greatest comedians to come out of Africa. Basketmouth appears in the Africa Magic show ‘My Flatmates’ (2016). Basketmouth recently hosted Nigerian Billionaire Femi Otedola in his home.
  4. Bovi Ugboma: Bovi is a Nigerian comedian, actor, and writer from Delta State, Nigeria. He has organized popular stand-up comedy concerts like Bovi Man on Fire across the globe.
