KOKO’s Men Of The Week: 5 Ex-Nigerian Footballers That Are and Were Fashion Extraordinaire

  1. JAY JAY Okocha: Austin Jay-Jay Okocha is a Nigerian former professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. A quick and skillful playmaker, who is considered as the best Nigerian and one of the best African players of all time, Okocha was known for his confidence with the ball, technique, creativity, and dribbling skills, as well as his use of feints, in particular, the stepover. Since 2008 when he retired from football Jay-Jay has been a regular face on the Nigerian football seen in 2015 he tried to become the president of the NFF, but has been seen around always looking stylish in some really nice suit wears.
  2. Kanu Nwankwo: Nwankwo Kanu, OON (born 1 August 1976), or simply Kanu, is a Nigerian retired footballer who played as a forward. He was a member of the Nigerian national team. Kanu is a native of Abia State, southeast Nigeria, and a member of the Aro sub-group of the Igbo ethnic group. Nwankwo means “Child born on Nkwo market day” in the Igbo language. He is also a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, and African brand ambassador for digital TV operator StarTimes. He is also the owner of Kanu Sports TV, an Internet Sports Television which position to be the first indigenous sports TV in Nigeria, Kanu Sports Television.
  3. Sunday Ogochukwu Oliseh:  Sunday Oliseh (born 14 September 1974) is a Nigerian football manager and former player. In his active playing career he played as a midfielder. A physical yet technically gifted defensive midfielder, Oliseh played for world-famous clubs such as AFC Ajax, Borussia Dortmund and Juventus F.C. While he was the coach of the Nigerian National team he was seen regularly looking dapper in his suits colourful, confident and stylish.
  4. Joseph Yobo: yoboJoseph Yobo is a former Nigerian professional footballer who played as a centre back. He was the captain of the Nigerian national team until his international football retirement in June 2014, and is Nigeria’s joint record appearance holder.   5. Julius Aghahowa: Aghahowa is a retired Nigerian footballer. He was known for his pace and his back-flips when he scored goals. Aghahowa became the first foreign national outside the former Soviet Union who was among the best scorers in the Ukrainian Premier League 2000–01 season.
