KOKO’s 2017 Woman Of The Year Shortlist…UN Ambassador And SA’s Nubian Princess, Nomzamo Mbatha

Subsequent to the announcement of people for KOKO’s 2017 Woman of the Year and the huge interest for the achievement of the shortlisted stars, we chronicle their individual works and how they have been able to use their talent to bring hope and touch people’s lives in their respective countries and across the continent.Though our shortlist features 10 incredible women who strove for excellence in their respective fields in the year 2017. They are only a small group of women that have made a whole lot of positive change on the continent, and every effort channeled into our distinguished list gets us one step closer to unveiling of the ‘Woman of the Year’. Our ‘Woman of the Year’ represents not only their trailblazing efforts but more importantly, embodies the hopes and achievements of millions of extraordinary women who make a difference every day across our nations and continent.One of such individual on our Woman of the Year 2017 shortlist is beautiful Nubian Princess, Nomzamo Mbatha.It’s hard to believe that South African actress and model, Nomzamo is only 27. And at such a young age becoming undoubtedly the Queen of African Fashion, style and the face of Africans globally. Nomzamo’s rise in 2017 has been meteoric, she co-hosted the 2017 BET Awards in America and won the Outstanding Achievement in Film – Africa award at the African Pride Film Awards. Nomzamo was made Puma, Neutrogena and United Nations Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) ambassador in 2017. Her charity work with UN work is laudable.Photo Credit: Getty
