KOKOnista Of The Day: Kehinde Bankole Is The Super Talented Melanin Beauty And Nigeria’s Screen Darling

Former KOKO cover girl, Kehinde Bankole is a Nigerian actress, model and television host that keeps mesmerising everyone with her beauty and acting prowess.


Kehinde Bankole was born in Ogun State as the fourth child of six of architect Babatunde Bankole and Titilayo Bankole.
Kehinde, as the name implies means she a twin and her, Taiwo, also acts occasionally. Bankole studied at Tunwase Nursery and Primary School, Ikeja.

She then proceeded to studied Mass Communication at Olabisi Onabanjo University but took a break to concentrate more on her modelling career in 2004.


Kehinde’s first entertainment experience was when she auditioned as a contestant in Miss Commonwealth Nigeria pageant, then proceeded to the 2004 Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria pageant.

Although she did not win, she claimed the “exposure” was all she really wanted as she made the top 10.

She won the revelation of the year award at the 2009 Best of Nollywood Awards, two years after her first screen feature in Super story. On television, her most notable role is as housewife in Desperate Housewives Africa, the Nigerian remake of the American hit series.
