Model Jamea Lynee is just 21 years old, but the Philadelphia native is wise beyond her years.
Jamea Lynee was born when her mother was only 15, Lynee learned to fend for herself early on. And in building up the exterior callouses often formed by battling through adversity, she has managed to not only set herself up to potentially grace the cover of Sports Illustrated’s legendary swimsuit edition, but she’s made a gallant effort to repay her mom for relentlessly guiding her through the murky waters of life.

‘Last year I went to the model casting in New York, I ended up not getting it,’ she said.
‘I knew I wanted to try again and fortunately this year, I was in Miami during the open casting call, so my agent told me that I should try out again. Of course, I didn’t think twice!’
The Philadelphia, Pennsylvania native said that her grandpa used to subscribe to fashion magazine, and ‘he’d be so upset when I tore the pages out of all my favorite models’.
‘So, to be a part of a franchise I was so amazed by as a kid, is a dream come true. Not only for me, but my family as well. I promised them that one day they’re going to flip the page, and BOOM…it’s me.’
