Nobody will tell your own story. The crowd would rarely sing your praise except when you lead it. But we all love tales of heroism. We love when the antagonist is conquered and vanquished by the hero of a story. But one of the world’s best secret is that the storyteller gets to decide who is the good guy and who is the bad guy in the story. Just like the favourite joke by law students, “There are 3 sides to every story – the plaintiff’s, the defendant’s and the truth.”If you are one of the backstage type that would rather do your thing in the shadows, content to keep influencing without public adoration, then you do not need to make this move. But for personalities that thrive on adulation but think modesty is the way to arrive there, you might be better served to get your horn all cleaned up and ready because you might have to do some tooting.Shout your accomplishments to anybody who cares to hear. Brand yourself like a corporate company. Post each milestone on social media.
