Kogi State Govt Declares Friday December 11th Work-Free Day

The Kogi State Government declares Friday, December 11th 2020 a work-free day in the state so to allow the citizens and civil servants in the state partake in the Local Government elections in the state. Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello

The Commissioner for Information and Communications in Kogi State, Mr Kingsley Fanwo explained that the directive was given so as to allow civil servants in the state exercise their right to vote and participate in the Political determination of how their Local Government Areas are been governed. 

Fanwo who stated that the directive is a confirmation of the commitment of Governor Yahaya Bello’s administration to deepening democratic practice and tenets added that they have charged the State Independent Electoral Commission to ensure free, fair, and credible poll. The statement read;

“To us as a Government, the franchise is a festival of freedom. Let us all come out en masse to determine those who will govern our grassroots Government for the next three years”.
