Kenya’s Opposition Leader Calls For Sexual Abstinence Ahead Of Presidential Election

Kenyan opposition leader Raila Odinga has urged supporters to abstain from sex on the eve of the elections which would take place on August 8. He enjoined supporters to only get intimate after the winners of the elections has been announced. Odinga’s statement wasn’t a surprise to most of his supporters since he had made a similar pronouncement in June saying that “when you are going for war, sex is a bad omen.”The 72-year-old politician who lost the last elections to incumbent Uluru Kenyatta, encouraged the youths to be vigilant on the election day so as to avoid incidences of rigging which has affected the government of Kenya.Due to numerous campaigns which has turned violent in some parts of the country, Odinga also addressed the issue of tribalism.
