Nollywood star Kemi Lala Akindoju has reacted to a news report of the underwear policy in place by a Nigerian university. In the past week, reports had emerged that the management of Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku, declared a “no bra, no entry, no pants, no entry” policy for female students.
A video had trended online last week showing female students standing outside the school gate after they were denied entry for not wearing underwear. Security guards were stationed at the school entrance to check students whose dressing was not in line with the policy. Lala reacting to the policy slammed described it as ridiculous.
She asked if the “madness” is only targeted at female students or if they are also checking male students to see if they are wearing underwear. The mother of one further shared that it is unfortunate that the school does not see the ridiculousness of their actions.
