Many unsuspecting men had scales fallen off from their eyes after a popular crossdresser identified with a pseudonym as Maryam, originally from Gwandune town, was recently arrested by the police in Kebbi State.
According to reports, the victims who were enamored with the suspect, had given thousands of Naira to him to get her to accept their marriage proposals.

However, things took a different turn when the victims started inquiring what was so special about Maryam that had many men ready to fall over each other for his love.

During interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime adding that he got a lot of money including foreign notes from the several men who wooed her.
Maryam was subsequently detained and will face prosecution.
