Kanye West Says He ‘Misses His Bro’ Jay Z After Dominican Holiday With Kim Kardashian

Kanye West appears to be pining after one of his oldest friends after admitting to ‘missing his bro’ Jay Z.

The N****s In Paris rappers had one of music’s closest friendships but it came to an abrupt end when Kanye, 43, made a series of unsavoury comments about Jay Z and his wife Beyonce during a tour show in 2016.

Their relationship has seemingly never recovered but there are clearly no hard feelings on Kanye’s part, as the rapper tweeted on Tuesday morning: ‘Miss my bro … real talk.’

He shared the sentimental message after coming across a tweet with footage from one of Ye and Jay’s performances, and said: ‘Whenever I’m bored I just watch Kanye and Jay Z perform Otis at the 2011 VMA’s and then I’m not bored anymore. Happy birthday to Watch The Throne.’

Kanye’s message comes just a few days after the ninth anniversary of his and Jay Z’s iconic collaborative album Watch The Throne, which was released on 8 August 2011.

It seems the Grammy award-winning rappers called a truce on their beef last year, as they were all smiles when they reunited publicly for the first time at Diddy’s 50th birthday party in December.

They posed together for a group photo alongside Pharrell Williams and Diddy at the star-studded party. Although Diddy stood in between Kanye and Jay Z for the picture moment, the pair were seen engaging in conversation with each other alone at another time.

Jay Z, 50, addressed their feud in an interview with the New York Times’ T Magazine in 2017, and explained: ‘I [talked to] Kanye the other day, just to tell him, like, he’s my brother. I love Kanye. I do.

‘It’s a complicated relationship with us. Kanye came into this business on my label. So I’ve always been like his big brother. And we’re both entertainers.’

‘It’s always been like a little underlying competition with your big brother. And we both love and respect each other’s art, too. So it’s like, we both — everyone wants to be the greatest in the world. You know what I’m saying?’

Kanye also refused to bash his big bro when speaking about Jay Z snubbing his wedding in an interview the following year.

The Gold Digger rapper told Charlamagne Tha God: ‘I was hurt about them not coming to the wedding. I understand they were going through some things, but if it’s family, you’re not going to miss a wedding.’

Last month, Kanye revealed he recently had a proper conversation with Jay Z over the phone and said: ‘The fact that we ain’t talked in so long, that’s how you know we real brothers.’

He added that he asked the Big Pimpin rapper to be his running mate in his presidential election bid.
