The Kano state governor Abdullahi Ganduje has donated the sum of N20 million to victims of the Katsina fire. The governor made the donation while on a sympathy visit to the state and also presented a letter of sympathy to the state governor.
The Kano state governor said the donation will help reduce the hardship faced by traders affected by the fire and explained that the fire outbreak will not only affect the people of Katsina State but also the people of the northern part of the country. “It’s very unfortunate but that is the wish from Almighty Allah. We will continue to pray for not only the recovery of what was lost but also the prevention of future occurrence of such incidence”

Governor Aminu Masari of Katsina state thanked Kano state governor Abdullahi Ganduje for the donation which he believed will go a long way in helping the market traders to ameliorate part of what they have lost. He said, as good Muslims, victims must take the incident in good faith as all good things he believed comes from God Almighty and that people should blame themselves for their actions, inactions, or utterances for anything contrary.
