‘Work From Home’ – Kano Tells Civil Servants, Bans Viewing And Event Centres

Kano State Government has ordered its civil servants to work remotely in the wake of the spike of the COVID-19 cases in the state, and has placed a fresh ban on viewing and event centres across the state.
This was announced in a statement released by the State Commissioner for Information, Muhammad Garba, which stated that the measure was part of decision at a stakeholders meeting held at the Africa House, Kano on Monday.Kano State Governor Ganduje
The Commissioner, however, explained that workers on essential services such as the healthcare service providers, fire service, water board, teaching staff, security guards and the media are exempted from the ban.

He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to working with relevant stakeholders that included the Ulama, Islamic instructors, to ensuring compliance with the COVID-19 Protocols.
