The 344 Kankara schoolboys who were finally released by their captors on Thursday, December 17, have finally arrived at the Katsina State Government house and received by Governor Aminu Masari the were conveyed in a convoy and escorted by a multitude of security operatives.
The Kankara GSSS was attacked on Friday by some alleged bandits abducting a total of 344 schoolboys, they were in the custody of the bandits since last Friday till Thursday, December 17, when they finally gained their freedom.

The state governor, Aminu Masari, said 333 of the students of the school were unaccounted for after the attack.
A statement by the Nigerian presidency later said that the location of the abducted schoolboys had been discovered and negotiations were ongoing with their kidnappers for their safe return.
Earlier on Thursday, the terror group, Boko Haram, released a video showing some of the abducted schoolboys.
