The Actress noted that such statement makes one wonder if he grew up with abusive parents or if he was also an abusive person.
Silva also went on to say that Pete had also categorically stated that his father never once hit his mother and he never once hit his wife and that his upbringing wasn’t why he made that statement.
According to Joke Silva, she believes Pete Edochie’s statement is one that a lot of men hold but do not have the courage to say.
The ageless actress then went ahead to explain what feminism as well as gender based violence is. Recounting how she met a lady at a party who asked to know more about feminism. She explained in simple terms that feminism means to be treated equally.
She further used the Bible as a reference where the adulterous woman was brought to Jesus, but was set free by Christ because the man involved in the act was not condemned together with the woman. She simply emphasized that feminism means ‘Equality’.
