Nigerian activist and publisher Omoyele Sowore has called for a nationwide and worldwide June 12 protest on Nigeria’s Democracy Day, to declare war against the President Buhari-led administration.
Recall that Omoyele Sowore had reportedly been shot in his hip by the Nigerian Police yesterday, an act which was denied by the force, saying there is no record of such incident.
Taking to his Twitter handle in the morning of the new month, Sowore addressed his fellow ‘oppressed citizens’, urging them to join in the nationwide and worldwide June 12 protests and engage in massive street action.
“Good morning oppressed citizens! We urge you to please join us nationwide/worldwide to engage in massive street action on June 12 2021. #June12Protest #BuhariMustGo #Revolutionnow”, he tweeted.
