Lekki Shooting: Judicial Panel Begins The Review Of CCTV Footage From Scene

The Lagos State Judicial panel Of Enquiry today began the review of the CCTV footage from the Lekki Tollgate scene of the shooting of peaceful protesters that took place On Tuesday, October 20.

Recall that on Tuesday, October 2020, around 7 pm the scene of the #EndSARS protest was stormed by men of the Nigerian military who opened fire at the location with peaceful protesters present on the location. Since after the incident there have been conflicting reports on the actual number of casualties.Judicial Panel begins Review of CCTV Footage of Lekki Shootings

Recall also that the Lekki Concession company LCC had submitted its footage from the tollgate of the incidence to the panel on Wednesday, November 4. The MD of the LCC, however, had earlier told the Judicial panel that the CCTV stopped recording at about 8 pm that very night of the massacre.

The Judicial Panel is currently viewing the CCTV footage from the early hours of October 20 and will watch till in the evening when the recording stopped.
