Jay-Z Becomes The Most-nominated Artist In Grammys History

Rapper Jay-Z is making history all over again a few weeks after he was inducted into the Rock and Roll hall of fame. The rapper received three more nominations from the Recording Academy on Tuesday, bringing his total count of nominations to a total of 83.

The Hip-hop mogul was nominated in the album of the year category for his work on Kanye West’s Donda, and received two nominations for best rap song for his features on DMX’s “Bath Salts” and West’s “Jail.”  Jay-Z was at par with legendary producer/composer Quincy Jones at 80 and has a total of 23 wins in his career.

In Nigeria, Wizkid is nominated in two categories at 2021, 64th Academy Music Awards, the first category he was nominated in was for the Best Global Music, for his works on “Made In Lagos; Deluxe Edition”. While for the second category, Machala was nominated in was for the Best Global Music Performance, alongside Tems.
