The 2018 NBA Awards ceremony took place on June 25 at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California – hosted by Anthony Anderson
Houston Rockets point guard James Harden beats out Anthony Davis (New Orleans Pelicans) and LeBron James (Cleveland Cavaliers) to be crowned NBA’s Most Valuable Player. “We only get one life and I’m happy she’s my mom,” said Harden whose mother Monja joined him on stage as he collected his award. “I’m not getting emotional, I’m not doing all that, but she’s my backbone.” Harden recorded an average of 30.4 points per game during the 2017-2018 season.
