Jagaban Is Back! Recuperating APC National Leader, Bola Tinubu, Returns To Nigeria

National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reportedly returned to Nigeria after a long sojourn in London.

The development was disclosed by a former lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani.

Senator Sani made this known via a post on the microblogging site, Twitter, on Saturday, September 25, 2021. The popular senator, who represented Kaduna Central Senatorial district in the 8th National Assembly, disclosed the return of Tinubu while hinting on a failed visit to the recuperating politician by an associate.

Specifically, Shehu Sani had disclosed that a friend of his had travelled all the way from Nigeria to see Tinubu; only to be notified that the veteran politician had departed the UK.

“One of my friends bought a ticket and landed in the UK to see the Jagaban, only to learn that the Jagaban is back. Best wishes to the Asiwaju,” Sani posted on Twitter.

Tinubu had been away from Nigeria for a while; with rumours of ill-health swirling around the APC National Leader. Some reports had equally indicated that he underwent surgery in the UK.

Since his sojourn in the UK which had spanned over two months, Tinubu had received a never-ending stream of visitors. The list had read like a Who’s Who of Nigerian politics.

Among the prominent politicians that had visited the Jagaban were President Muhammadu Buhari; Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu; former chairman of the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) and ex-legal adviser to the APC, Muiz Banire; Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi; Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, as well as other members of the state’s legislature; former Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun; Speaker, House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, among a host of others.
