Jadon Sancho is more than happy for people to discuss his future, but insists he is concentrating on the season ahead with current club Borussia Dortmund.

The 20-year-old has been linked with a number of Europe’s biggest clubs and Manchester United appear to be at the front of the queue for his signature, but a deal is proving difficult to complete.

Dortmund want around £100m for the England international, a fee which United are very reluctant to meet, while there are also issues around the player’s wages and agent fees.

Speculation over Sancho’s future has been rumbling on since last summer and has become particularly intense in recent months, but when asked if he wished the chat would die down, the winger felt quite the opposite.

Jason Sancho‘No, the media’s the media,’ Sancho said. ‘They’re always going to try and create a story, but this is how you manage it.

‘For me, I just focus on my football. I just want to do what’s best for my team and win titles at the end of the day.’

Sancho admits that it’s nice to be talked about as a £100m player, but says it ultimately makes no difference to him as he concentrates on his performances.

‘I guess it’s a nice feeling to be worth so much, but again, I don’t really look at it that much,’ he said. ‘For me it’s about doing well for my team and doing well for myself as well.

‘When I have a s**t game I’m just down. I feel s**t about myself. So I always like having a good game and showing people what I can do. I know what I can do, and if I play bad then I’m just p***ed off with myself. Next game I’ll try and improve on whatever I’ve done wrong.’

United’s pursuit of Sancho continues, despite the arrival of Donny van de Beek this week, but they remain unlikely to meet Dortmund’s vast valuation.
