Nigerian music star, Onoyom Mbuk, popularly known as Iyanya has claimed that a sum of N52m was spent on 2022 track, ‘Like’ which featured Davido and Kizz Daniel.
He revealed this while commenting on a post by media personality, Adesope Olajide on Instagram.
Adesope, who is the host of ‘The Afrobeats Podcast’ uploaded a screenshot of an old post where the ‘Kukere’ crooner said the promotion of songs are now very expensive and urged musicians to be thankful when their songs go viral without promotions.

Iyanya said, “Promoting music has become very expensive. If you are lucky to get a song go viral, make you thank God.”
Confirming Iyanya’s view, Adesope wrote, “Nothing can be truer than these words ….. I’m just glad my brother @iyanya getting his dues once again.”
Consequently, the TripleM-G artiste took to Adesope’s post comment section to disclose the sums they spend in making songs, video, and promotions since 2021 but admonished upcoming acts not to get discouraged by his disclosure.
“The cheapest I have spent on a song since January 2021 is 27m. When I dropped “LIKE” FT Davido and KizzDaniel, we spent 52million, song, Video and promotion.

“This should not discourage any up-and-coming artiste, you can do it, all you need it’s consistency,” Iyanya wrote.
