Political activist Aisha Yesufu has taken to social media to school Ghanaian rapper Shatta Wale over his tweet a few days ago calling out the Nigerian music industry and musicians. The rapper in a series of tweets slammed Nigerian artists claiming that they do not offer support to their Ghanaian counterparts.
He noted that a lot of Nigerian stars sell-out shows, albums, chart-topping singles in his country but the same wouldn’t happen in Nigeria because they are hostile to Ghanaian music. Shatta shared that right now the Nigerian music scene enjoys global dominance but one day the tables will turn. These tweets sparked up a lot of reactions with celebrities dragging him mercilessly.
Aisha reacting to this shared that it is very funny when people feel entitled to the success of others. She shared that when Nigerians get dragged for fraud other African countries do not show support or wear the label but now that it is music everyone wants to claim we are one.
